MUMBAI, July 9 (Xinhua) -- India's unmarried elite men and women are increasing soliciting their marital soulmate outside India, with United States, UAE and Canada being the top three preferred countries, according to a release Tuesday by Elite Matrimony -- a premium matchmaking service for the elite.
A total of 56 percent of women and 52 of percent men were looking for a partner living outside India, the release said based on the data of 150,000 users.
As per the data shared, 64 percent of female users who are seeking a life partner are between the age group of 18-27, while 70 percent of men are in the age group of 28-37 years.
Elite Matrimony's user base of which 60 percent are self-created profiles while the rest are managed by siblings and parents, comprises of 38 percent female and 62 percent male registrants.
About 6 percent of the registrants were from top educational institutes including Harvard School of Business, Stanford, Princeton, Yale, MIT, Cornell, Chicago Booth, Kellogg, Wharton, Dartmouth, NUS, London School of Economics, Oxford, London School of Business, INSEAD and HEC Paris, the release said.
Of the total registrants, 20 percent were women and 33 percent were Non-Resident Indians, the release said.
