WASHINGTON, June 22 (Xinhua) -- A pickup truck hit and killed seven people on motorcycles on a two-lane highway in northeastern U.S. state of New Hampshire on Friday night, local media reported on Saturday.
The crash ignited a small fire in a nearby wooded area, state police said.
Five of the victims were members of the Jarheads Motorcycle Club, which comprises active and veteran Marines, and two were supporters, local media quoted Doug Hayward, a member of the club, as saying.
Police said two other motorcyclists were injured and one person was airlifted to a local hospital.
"It's tragic," New Hampshire State Police Capt. Chris Vetter told reporters.
Authorities are still investigating the accident.
