BERLIN, Jan. 4 (Xinhua) -- One armed man was detained in western German city of Cologne following shootings near the city's main train station Friday afternoon, according to a statement posted on the official twitter account of the Cologne police.
According to witnesses, several shots were fired on an open street near the train station, and persons involved fled in a vehicle and on foot. There are currently no indications of injuries. The crime scene was cordoned off and the investigation continues.
The detained is a 29-year-old man and the police are currently looking for two men and a woman, who are said to have escaped from the scene of the crime, according to the statement.
Local media, the DW, quoted the police as saying that the incidence might be related to biker gangs.
