HANOI, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) -- Two men robbed a branch of a Vietnamese commercial bank Vietcombank in the country's central Khanh Hoa province at noon on Wednesday, before escaping with an unidentified amount of cash, local media reported.
The two men entered the Vietcombank branch's office in Ninh Hoa town and used self-made guns to force the bank's staff to give them cash, Nguoi Lao Dong (Laborers) online newspaper reported.
When the bank's staff pressed an alarm, the two robbers ran out of the office. As the bank's security guards fought back against the two men, one of the robbers shot a bullet but did not hit anyone.
The two robbers escaped on their motorbike, leaving a gun behind. Local police are investigating the case.
